Lately, we've been seeing the Windsor chair pop up in unexpected places in our interiors. Windsor chairs were first made in the early part of the 18th century in the Windsor Valley of England. They were said to first be introduced to America in 1726 by the Governor of Pennsylvania, and we love them for their distinctive forms.

A Trumeau is a mirror combined with a decorative painting or carving. In the 18th century, Trumeaus were incorporated into the paneled rooms of large French homes to reflect light from the chandeliers and often had candle sconces attached to their frames to provide additional light. In the 19th century, it became fashionable to use them over fireplaces.
