The $5.9 Million Silver Punch Bowl

Sotheby's set a new auction record in January for American silver when a punch bowl (pictured below) by Cornelius Kierstede, made in New York in the early 1700s, sold for a mind-blowing $5,906,500, more than 10 times its presale estimate at $400,000.
