We love showcasing our items on 1st Dibs, partially because of the ease and plethora of items that the site offers, but also because of their excellent sense of community when it comes to antiques. Many communities, from neighborhoods to teachers at the same school, to high end designers who network, often times have book clubs, or at least discuss what they’re reading. If the antique world had an official book club, the books on 1st Dibs Require Reading lists would definitely make the cut.
Their latest book, called Dealer’s Choice, may seem a little bit bias, as it features a foreword by the founder of 1st Dibs, Michael Bruno. Whether a bias choice or not, this book is a fabulous source, with amazing photos and fun commentary. The book, written by Craig Kellogg, ”offers a rare and exciting glimpse into the homes of celebrated antiques and 20th-century design purveyors.”
