The Gables Antiques may be new to the blogosphere, but that doesn’t keep us from staying on top of some of trendiest design blogs that our very own city of Atlanta has to offer. Although it should come as no surprise that our design-minded city plays host to a handful of high-profile design bloggers, we check them out to get our thrills–and some major design inspiration–each day.
In their “Best of the City” January 2010 edition, The Atlantan magazine named their “Fab 5″ Atlanta design bloggers, including:
Peak of Chic, a blog authored by Jennifer Boles has scored praise from the likes of Elle Decor and House Beautiful and covers modern designers as well as
StyleCourt, presided over by arts-smart Courtney Barnes, a former art history major whom The Atlantan says “charmingly covers a smattering of topics: decorative arts, books, art and interior design.”
Sanity Fair, a blog covering the lovely things in life, from gardens and fashion to decor.
Brilliant Asylum, keeps an eagle-eye out for coverage in both local and national news of prominent Atlanta designers, architects, retailers. She also adds discussions of film to the lifestyle repertoire.
Mrs. Howard Personal Shopper: Local interior designer Phoebe Howard offers her “impeccable style tips,” Q&A’s, and before-and-after peaks into her professional projects.
In addition to The Atlantan’s “Fab 5″ above, we’ve found two other swoon-worthy sites that are click-deserving:
Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles for their behind-the-scenes coverage of photo shoots for the magazine, up-to-the-minute posts on local design happenings, and design musings from their talented editorial staff.
Things That Inspire covers art, architecture and design with a fabulously local spin. Sister Web site: Quatrefoil Design.
Happy browsing!

I came over here to look at the ‘Painted Edge’ furniture line, and wandered over to your blog. Thank you SO much for the mention on this post!
