After hearing about our buying trip to France and Holland and our travels to quite a few fairs, we’re sure you are curious by now to see how our latest shipment has come together in the store. The staff here at The Gables Antiques toiled for days, arranging and rearranging all of our new items until we got it to look just right, so over the next few posts, we’d like to share some photos of how we’ve set things up here in the store.
First, here’s a photo of the foyer here at The Gables Antiques, where we’re showing off many of those items. You’ll notice we’ve got some new pewter pieces on the Irish pine dresser, a fabulous set of painted French dining chairs (of which there are 18 total), and of course, the trumeau and Delft garniture set.
The piece we wanted to highlight today is the French trumeau. We placed sleek agates under this distressed piece, which creates a beautiful contrast! This trumeau is our largest mirror of the shipment and was constructed with old elements. At 73” tall x 52” wide, it makes quite the statement. This trumeau is $4800.00.
This mirror, as well as several others we bought, have received many of the oohh’s and aahh’s we’ve heard in the store recently!
We’ve got a few more photos to share with you, so be sure to check back with us for more photos!
Also, we’d like to take a moment to wish all of our readers a very safe and happy Thanksgiving! The Gables Antiques will be closing on Wednesday, November 23rd, at 3:30 p.m. and will be closed on Thursday, November 24th, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. We will re-open on Friday, November 25th at 10 a.m.
