Earlier this week, we told you about an upcoming event that The Gables Antiques is taking part in, The Circle Celebrates Art and Antiques, which is set to take place on November 4th. As we mentioned, The Gables Antiques will host a trunk show focusing on antique Suzani textiles from Uzbekistan during the event.
While we have been preparing for the big event, we’ve noticed the use of Suzanis in quite a few places – and most recently featured in a few publications here in Atlanta! In this weekend’s Atlanta Journal-Constitution Homefinder, the cover story included a fantastic photo of a Suzani being used as a bedcover in a room designed by Catherine Cocke. The Suzani creates a bold, graphic punch of color in the master bedroom.
Additionally, a home designed by Beth Webb of Beth Webb Interiors is featured in the cover story of the current issue of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles and she used Suzanis within the home’s décor – a Suzani pillow and a Suzani throw. We’ve included photos of her use of gorgeous Suzanis below.
And below we’ve included a photo of a vintage Suzani for sale here at The Gables. It’s a linen and silk handwoven Suzani with absolutely gorgeous colors and would look great in any home!
We hope you’ll make plans to join us on November 4th and that you’ll take a look at the fabulous Suzanis we’ll have on hand! Be sure to stay tuned to our blog for more information on The Circle Celebrates Art and Antiques.
