This period Directoire wall clock is made of wood and painted black with gilt accents. There are three separate pieces: the bracket base with a charming painting of three sheep, the clock itself which sits on the bracket, and a decorative top piece. The chime is very pleasant and sounds on the half hour. The eight day works keep accurate time.
